Mostly everyone values their own opinions, and these opinions are often based on personal beliefs, emotional content, personal experience, culture, and upbringing, which may be full of misconceptions, misrepresentations, and personal motivations, which are probably associated to ones explanatory style. Huh? Please pardon this straightforwardness, but opinions are like bun holes, everybody has one. Just because someone offers or gives an opinion does not mean that it is qualified, of value, or of any wisdom. In fact, a majority of those who need to express themselves, (out of their own lack of self worth), lack the wisdom to utter anything valued. Mean? God will point at your position, not your condition. It is far more important for you to get understanding, than it is for you to be understood. Love?
This could be said for everyone; you don't know what you don't know. That is just one reason why the bible says in Proverbs 11:14; Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety. Nobody knows everything, but many still voice their misguided opinions at a drop of a hat. Well this is what I think, and this is what I believe are often unfounded and erroneous. If you ask someone why they think something, you will often get the "I just do" answer, or the "that's just the way it is" explanatory style, or the best one; that's just how I feel about it, as if feelings could think. People don't need your opinions if they lack insight.
A supervisor I once had told me that if I could not baffle them with my wisdom, then I should baffle them with my BS. Nancy Pelosi stands up before congress on National television and tells the congress to just pass the health care bill and then you will know what is in it. Was that her personal opinion, an object of erroneous motivations, or a comment that totally lacked a lick of wisdom? And out of what manipulations actually got the bill passed? Deception is a form of dishonesty as it purposely lacks truth, and as the saying goes, there is a sucker born every minute.
Change the way you think and you will drastically change your outcomes, and your opinions. Where is the most valued and qualified opinion? If you can not answer that, or your answer is other than God, you failed the question. Now, I am sure many might like to give me their misguided opinions in response to that comment, but you can not change the fact that it's the truth, and the truth remains constant. It's not simply an opinion, it is a concrete fact. Listen; "My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the LORD. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9). But many will wait until they die to see this truth.
You have to ask yourself one question, do you feel lucky? Well do ya? Want to gamble on sillyness? Wouldn't you rather have insight that is above yours? You know instead of getting in an argument with your boyfriend or spouse over whose opinion is higher, why don't you both get it on higher authority to begin with? Jeremiah 33:3 says; Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
Most people blurt out their opinions without any foundation in which to back it up with. Is an opinion worth anything if it lacks truth, love, and wisdom? If it lacks those things, then it is more likely to be referred to as hot air. Isaiah 48:6 says; You have heard these things; look at them all. Will you not admit them? "From now on I will tell you of new things, of hidden things unknown to you. -Of course we can choose to live our lives with ignorance and arrogance out of our lack of humility and foolishness.
Consider that you might just have some things to learn, Proverbs 17:28 says; Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue. No matter who you are, you are encouraged in follow what Proverbs 4:7 says; Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
Why?
He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding. (Proverbs 15:32)
Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. (Proverbs 4:6)
Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. (Proverbs 2:11)
2 Thessalonians 2:10; and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
Ecclesiastes 7:5; It is better to heed a wise man's rebuke than to listen to the song of fools.
Proverbs 1:7; Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
If you look at a US dollar bill does it not say "In God We Trust", do you think the US government, President, house, or senate pays any attention to that value? Do you think they are seeking out higher wisdom from God? Are you?
